Growth and larger city centre office for Qubic

Continuing on from an excellent year of growth, Qubic will be moving its head office into a prestigious office space in central Newcastle. The new premises, in Central Square South, will give the firm more space for its growing workforce, as well as making it more accessible for local clients.

Qubic has grown rapidly in the past 12 months, with staff numbers doubling and a second office opening in London, and to support this, along with the move the firm is also rebranding to better reflect its service offering and from Friday 9th September will be re-launching as Qubic Tax.

Qubic director David Graham commented: “This has been an excellent year for Qubic, which started with the opening of our London office in the Gherkin. The firm has grown rapidly and this move is a reflection of our ambitions and growth targets. New directors and london office for Qubic

North East based Qubic, a firm of chartered accountants that specialises in innovative tax solutions, has announced the appointment of 2 key directors, Cathy Rouse and Iain Robertson and the opening of its new London office in the prestigious 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) as part of a growth strategy that has seen staff numbers more than double in the past 12 months.

The new directors bring with them a wealth of experience and these added skills will enhance the company’s service offering.

Cathy Rouse will be based in the Newcastle office and is a former HMRC Inspector who has worked for Big 4 and top 10 national firms. She sat on a national panel for tax risk and management and worked extensively with tax counsel. Cathy will be supporting the development of new products and services for Qubic, as well as working to expand the firm’s national network coverage.

Iain Robertson, who will be based in the London office, is a former HMRC inspector and has worked in a senior tax role at a Big 4 firm and was a partner and head of tax technical at a national firm. Iain’s appointment and the opening of the London office are part of Qubic’s strategy for supporting new and existing work and a large client base in the south east.
